It seems Stella McCartney's embrace of Disney characters in her Fall 2009 ads wasn't an isolated incident.
The eco-friendly British designer is now teaming up with Disney to create limited edition costume jewelry -- a necklace and a bracelet -- inspired by "Alice in Wonderland."
The whimsical fairytale will be very much in the spotlight over the next few months due to Tim Burton's highly anticipated 3D take on "Alice in Wonderland" being released on March 5.
His highly anticipated reinterpretation stars Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter and 20-year-old actress Mia Wasikowska as Alice, along with Anne Hathaway and Burton's wife, Helena Bonham Carter.
McCartney used the trippy visuals from Burton's avant-garde film as creative fuel when designing her two matching pieces, which are made of gold chains -- the same chain featured in her highly coveted Falabella handbag, in fact -- and decorated with pearls and plexi charms in the shape of a rabbit, the Mad Hatter's topper, plus spade, club, heart and diamond symbols.
The bracelet and necklace, which also features Swarovski crystal accents, will retail for $395 and $425 respectively at Stella McCartney stores worldwide starting in February.
