The upcoming ABC television series The Forgotten, premiering on September 22nd, focuses on a team of dedicated amateurs, called The Forgotten Network, who work on murder cases involving unidentified victims. After the police have given up, this group, led by ex-cop Alex Donovan (Christian Slater), must first solve the puzzle of the victim's identity, in order to then help catch the killer. These are ordinary people solving extraordinary crimes, and their persistence and compassion put them on a personal and emotional journey to give names back to the deceased.
At the Television Critics Association Press Tour to promote his newest television venture, The Forgotten, Jerry Bruckheimer briefly spoke to IESB afterwards, to update the status of a few of his other current projects.

Q: What attracted you to The Forgotten?

Bruckheimer: I thought it was interesting that this network actually exists. I love the verisimilitude. There are people who really do these things.

Q: How did Dark Blue come to you?

Bruckheimer: It came through to our developing people, from Danny Cannon. Some people send in stuff. Sometimes we come up with ideas.

Q: How do you think Pirates 4 is going to be with Rob Marshall as director?

Bruckheimer: I think it will be great. First, we've got to make a deal. But, he's got a great sense of humor. He's very funny.

Q: With the production on The Sorcerer's Apprentice, unfortunately there were two accidents on the set. What is your reaction, when something like that happens?

Bruckheimer: It's sad. Even though we do dangerous things, we try to keep them as safe as possible. One, we had nothing to do with. The person just lost control of their car, and there's nothing we can do about that.

Q: What do you think of Nicolas Cage's look as the Sorcerer, Balthazar Blake?

Bruckheimer: It looks fantastic. He's really handsome and sexy. The girls will love him.

Q: It's so Johnny Depp to want to be Tonto, but did you want him as the Ranger for The Lone Ranger?

Bruckheimer: No. We always wanted him as Tonto.
