CLJohnny, I'm not questioning what you posted, and I'm aware that you said you aren't sure of the date or origin of the photo.  In fact, in my post, I repeated the same thing you did...that we don't know when the photo was taken or where.  You posted the photo with a clear indication that you found it on another site, and didn't know the origin or the date of the photo.  I've also seen it posted on other Depp fan sites, and no one seems to know when or where the photo was taken.  They're all just as stumped as we are.  It's your choice whether or not you choose to speculate about where or when the photo may have been taken.  But after looking closely at the photo, I chose to put my two cents worth in on what I thought it might be.  If anyone else has any others ideas, they can post them as well.

The fact that Johnny has a band-aid on the crook of his arm doesn't alarm me that much.  It could be a routine blood test or just a scratch or an itchy bug bite that he's trying to keep from scratching open.  This photo couldn't be associated with the story about him calling in sick on the first day of Mortdecai reshoots because he would have to be clean-shaven if he was doing Mortdecai reshoots...and what are they going to do about his hair for the reshoots?  Dye it blonde again?  I hope not!  When I posted the story about him not showing up the first day of the reshoots, I also posted that I'm not even sure if the story is accurate or has any truth at all to it.  It was first posted by The Mirror, and they don't have a stellar reputation for truthfulness.  I'm not even sure that there are actually any reshoots going on at Pinewood Studios for Mortdecai, because The Mirror was the source that printed that first too, and other tabloid sites have picked it up.

My speculations as to when or where the photo may have been taken, or by whom, are simply my speculations.  There is nothing wrong with posting speculation or guessing about something as long as one words it in a way that it isn't presented as a fact, and it's clearly posted as an opinion or a guess or speculation.  What I have a problem with is when members state something as if they know exactly what happened just by looking at a photo or reading a tabloid article, and they're presenting their opinion as if it's a factual account of what happened.  Or when someone looks at a paparazzi photo of Johnny when he's not smiling, and automatically create a story about him not wanting to be seen with Amber, or him being upset with Amber, or him breaking up with Amber.  Everything is always Amber's fault.  In reality, it's just some wild story they've created in their own minds...usually based on an intense dislike of Amber Heard and their need to always make her look like the nasty villain no matter what the actual circumstances are.  I don't like Amber Heard either, but I'm not going to twist every photo or tabloid story into some sort of sinister plan created by Amber as I've seen happen here numerous times.  I wish everyone shared photos the way you did, CLJohnny, by saying that they don't know the origin of the photo rather than immediately jumping to conclusions that are so exaggerated that they're totally unbelievable.

My speculation as to where the photo may have been taken is based on the things that I see in the background of the photo.  Because I live in a tropical environment, there are a number of things in the background of that photo that are very familiar to me living in a hot, humid tropical climate...the vegetation, the mosquito candles, the weathered wood, and the use of white twinkle lights outdoors.  Those things are common here where I live and would be things that could easily be common on Johnny's island in the Bahamas.  That's why I guessed that the photo may have been taken on his island.  If it was taken on his island, it obviously wasn't taken by paparazzi, and paparazzi didn't sell it or release it to the public.  His island is very private, only accessed by seaplane or boat.  It would have had to be a personal photo taken by someone who was there with him...an invited guest or family member.  Since that appears to be Amber's dog sitting on his lap, I speculated that she probably took the photo, and that it might have been included in the batch of photos hacked from her cell phone account.  The photo suddenly appears online right around the same time that the rest of her hacked photos/videos were released.   My other speculation is that maybe his kids were there with him, and Lily-Rose may have taken the photo.  She and her friends are prolific about posting photos on their various social media sites online.

The 5 weeks time window that I speculated about was based solely on the time frame during which Johnny wasn't filming a movie late this summer when he would have had time to grow his facial hair back in before he started his next movie.  That would be true only if the photo was taken this year.  For all we know, it may have been taken anytime during the last two years.
